Art Career- Cartoonist
I chose the career as a cartoonist because it is something I have been planning to do in my life. I have always wanted to do something with art when I grow up since I was little. I feel that I am pretty good at drawing cartoons. The first cartoon I have ever drawn was spongebob. After I figured out I could draw him I decided to draw more and i have succeeded. It was something I enjoyed and I was good at.
The yearly salary starts out at $30,000 per year. The salaries can be different based on where they are located, the type or size of the company, experience, and education. The median saley of a fine artist in entertainment was $44,850 in may of 2010. The lowest was $19,190 and the highest was $89,720. Duties for a cartoonist would be to free- hand draw their creation with a pencil. Next they would go over their creation with ink erasing the pencil marks. Some creators prefer computers and would use the drawing software. After their creations are done they would scan or upload them to the computer and email it to the client. You would work at home or you can work with other people. At least 2 years of studying in a college is required but 4 years bachelor degree is what most choose.
